Targets

The target of the workshop is to develop the mindset and leadership competence to lead a virtual team. The training explores best practice in virtual team leadership, and gives guidelines on the competencies to lead a remote, cross-cultural, cross-functional team across a matrix organization. The workshop explores solutions to remote team challenges in communication, project management, teamwork, performance management, and leadership.

  • Agile working principles and practices in virtual teams
  • Managing projects in virtual teams (Optional and can be offered as separate workshop with waterfall, agile or hybrid project management)

Working in a virtual / remote team

Targets

The target of the workshop is to develop the mindset and skill set to work successfully in a virtual team. The training gives guidelines on best practice in virtual team collaboration, and explores the skills required to work in a remote, cross-cultural, cross-functional team. The workshop provides tips for team members on remote team communication, collaboration, teamwork and managing performance and delivering results.

Working remotely

Targets

The target of the workshop is to develop the mindset and skills to work remotely and in virtual teams. The training gives guidance and tips on how to work both effectively and productively remotely. The workshop explores communication, collaboration, time and personal management, results focus and motivation. The workshop also gives tips on the effective use of technology for remote work and how to collaborate with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.

  • Time and personal management; set priorities, manage time, create a workspace, self-care and motivation, stay productive
  • Effecfive virtual communication; tools and technology, communication norms, team communication, cyber security
  • Team collaboration; effective use of tools, team norms and behaviors, team alignment and working autonomously
  • Results and productivity; focus on individual goals and performance criteria, status updates and tracking, reporting challenges and issues, resolving conflicts and making blockages and results visible
